I never really baked cookies. Please don’t ask me why. I also don’t know. Sweet, little things like these skip me sometimes.
Then I started baking them. I can’t stop anymore. They are so easy to make and everyone loves a piece of it. Anytime, anywhere.
I chanced upon Alice Kind’s chocolate chip cookie recipe.
It’s a winner.
2 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/4 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3 2/3 c. flour
2 T. corn starch
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. milk chocolate chips
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and combine. Stir in chocolate chips. Chill the dough before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes (using a 1.5″ scoop).
I used 2/3 cup rolled oats to partly substitute the flour. I omitted the while chocolate. I am not a big fan.
You can’t just have one of this in a day.
Here’s my new cookie monster:
