So we are nearing the end of our 2-week school break. I decided to take one kid a day out for a date.
First on my list was Nina.
She had a babycino and a Belgian strawberry cupcake.
She was so happy. Just she and Mommy. Full attention given, all wishes granted.
Nina is the least talkative of our kids. Maybe the others drown out her voice that is why its hard to hear her. She normally listens and just pays attention to what the rest are saying or doing.
I know there is something wrong when she starts to act up and gets stubborn. As in really stubborn. That is a distress signal for me that she needs more attention, affection. I know her concerns are valid.
I noticed she talked more than usual that day. She was livelier, lovelier than ever.
Oh Nina, I promise we’ll have more of these dates. Don’t grow up too soon.
